  • Actress Lena Dunham revealed during an interview on Watch What Happens Live that her Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood costar Brad Pitt gifted her a ring during the film's wrap party.
  • Pitt reportedly gave Dunham the surprise present after noticing that she was embarrassed by accidentally kissing the actor on the red carpet at the film's U.K. premiere.
  • "He's a truly kind person who can read the room," said Dunham.

Only a handful of women have been fortunate enough to receive a ring from America's forever-favorite bachelor, Brad Pitt, and believe it or not, Lena Dunham is one of those select few.

The Girls actress revealed that Pitt gifted her a ring—that he was wearing himself—during a wrap party for their movie, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, last year. Dunham explained during an interview on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live that the impromptu present was a sentimental offer after Dunham accidentally gave Pitt an awkward—and now-infamous—red-carpet kiss during the film's U.K. premiere.

"I don't know if you remember there was a sort of awkward photo taken of the two of us. Well, the way the Internet read it was I had somehow physically accosted him causing him a great deal of stress," recalled Dunham during the interview. "I would never force a kiss on Brad Pitt. I respect him far too much as an artist and a friend."

The actress continued to explain that Pitt quickly recognized Dunham's embarrassment over the publicized snafu, and to ease her nerves over the situation, he gifted her his own ring during the wrap party for the film.

"Later that night, because he knew I felt nervous, he took me into a room and we secretly ate pizza and I told him I like his ring and he gave it to me," added Dunham. "He's a truly kind person who can read the room. And I was super nervous because I was around so many idols of mine and he made me feel pretty cool."
