MEXICO CITY – José Manuel Zamacona, vocalist and founder of Los Yonic’s, died this Sunday at the age of 69 after complications derived from COVID-19, a disease he contracted even while vaccinated.

Just on June 26, the musician’s son thanked the prayers for the health of the leader of Los Yonic’s, a band that was formed in the seventies.
“Come on my beautiful daddy, yes you can, many of us are praying for his complete healing. Thanks to everyone for your support. We love you very much, now I realize that we have many sisters and brothers. Thank you for everything, “he wrote on the group’s Facebook profile.
