About

Much like her parents, Willow Smith has made a name for herself in both the music and film industries. Born to Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith in 2000, the precocious young star made her acting debut in 2007’s I Am Legend (opposite her father).

In 2008, she starred in Kit Kittredge: An American Girl. That same year, Willow also lent her voice to the animated film Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

Willow released her debut single, “Whip My Hair,” under Jay-Z‘s record label in late 2010. The song peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard charts. The California native became the youngest artist signed to Roc Nation when she joined the label that same year. After releasing her fourth album in 2021, Willow collaborated on her single “Transparent Soul” with Travis Barker, “Meet Me at Our Spot” with Tyler Cole and “Emo Girl” with Machine Gun Kelly.

The multi-talented child star is also a dedicated humanitarian: she and older brothers Jaden Smith and Trey Smith are ambassadors for Hasbro’s Project Zambia, which provides assistance for Zambian children orphaned by AIDS.

In 2018, Willow joined her mother on her show Red Table Talk. The Facebook Watch series, which also stars Willow’s maternal grandmother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, is an open forum that addresses various topics from the point of view of three different generations.

The singer, who came out as bisexual in 2019, has previously discussed her support of polyamorous relationships. Willow has been linked to musician De’Wayne since December 2021.
